Wat takes the sting out of a burn?!
Question: Wat takes the sting out of a burn.?
is there anything that will do itHealth Question & Answer
Answers:
If it's just a superficial burn and not too serious, run it under cool water. DO NOT put something greasy on it like lotion or butter (I've seen some people suggest that for some crazy reason.) This will just hold in the heat and can actually cause the burn to get worse. When you've got the burn under control, a little aloe can aid in healing and also has some soothing effect. There are also some numbing sprays that can be good for temporary use, like the kind you see for sunburns. Sunburns are actually just first degree burns, so the spray is good for any superficial burn. If the burn has blisters on it, try not to pop the blisters--they're there to protect the damaged tissue and if you pop them the burn can become infected. Anyhow, if it has blisters you can pretty much follow the same advice as above. If you have open sores from the burn, I wouldn't put any spray on them, and you should call a nurse's hotline for better advice.Health Question & Answer
