Do I have some sort of head/brain injury?!

Question: Do I have some sort of head/brain injury.?
I was slapped upside the head rather hard by a friend(don't ask) . I wasn't dizzy or anything. There was no bruising or swelling either. Could it have had an affect on my brain or something.? Paranoid.. again.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Your definition of rather hard is a little vague. However, seeing that you didn't get hit hard enough to cause a blackout, then the chances of any damage by this one hit alone would be rather small. To clarify the rather small part would be to say way less than 1 in a million. Otherwise, we would all be blubbering idiots by the time we were adults. Yes, I agree that some of us are already blubbering idiots. However, that was related to genetics and other poor choices in the past, not a one time slap upside the head.

Just to insure you understand the waste of time it would be to continue concerning yourself with this one hit, if you had been knocked to the point where you almost blacked out, even then, I would still say that you would have no issues unless you began to exhibit signs of a concussion.

I think your biggest concern is why your friend would hit you upside the head rather hard.

Now, move on to your next big worry, like could you have broken your toe the last time you kicked a table leg, or something more important like that.Health Question & Answer
