It's never actually good for you to use alcohol as a release. You could develop a dependence on it and it won't really rid you of the sorrows you're having a problem with. You could try something like:
Make a list of your sorrows
Be detailed and explain why they're affecting your life
Explain what you wish would happen
Explain what you think will happen
Explain what you can do about it
Fold this paper up
Throw it away
It'll take long enough that afterwards you should move on and do something else. Listen to music while you do it. Find interesting new juices and snack food creations and have those instead. Focus on whatever kind of food you're particularly interested in. Indian, Latino, Chinese, super healthy, etc.
