I never had a doctor deny me because of SSDI determination. Maybe they thought you might lose your Medicare.? Never came up when I was under the re-determination process.
Anyway, the paperwork is a lot like the stuff you had to fill out in the beginning. What do you do during the day.? What ways does your disability affect your daily living.? And remember tell them about your worst day, not your average day, because the worst day is what they need to hear about. (That is according to a benefits counselor at a program I am involved in.) In addition, there is paperwork for your doctors and therapists to fill out and turn in. And, then it can take a year or so to hear...it took over a year before I heard anything on the re-determination; in fact I had forgotten about it. I thought they had just re-approved it and I never got the letter, but about 14 months after I got the re-determination letter, I got my re-approval. My psychiatrist told me he had never heard of anyone not being re-approved after getting SSDI originally. (I think he was trying to make me relax because I was afraid I would lose SSDI at the re-determination.)
