Yes! Since starting on fluoxetine my period has been *weeks* late. I looked on the information sheet that comes in the boxes but like Dr Frank pointed out, no mention of changes in menstruation cycle among the side effects...BUT I was really worried about this as my period is never normally so late and looking on sites to find out possible causes. The NHS site and a couple of other reliable ones state starting on a new drug/anti-depressant as a possible cause of interruption in your cycle.Health Question & Answer
i took prozac for a 15 month time and it had no effects on my menstruation cycle i also took the contraceptive pill with it though so that may well that controlled them if the medication is disrupting your cycle maybe talk to your gp and see if there is anything you can have to keep your body better controlled for youHealth Question & Answer
Any medicine can have the effect of loss or disruption of the cycle.Respiridone and olanzapine stopped my daughters cycle for 3 years and it has only just come back, but very irregular. Prozac while a different drug could have that effect. There is no mention on those leaflets either. Try not t worry, it will make it worse.Health Question & Answer
None at all. And it shouldn't, either. I've taken it on and off for 3 years and never encountered period problems, but I have encountered stomach problems - I felt sick and had the runs for the first few weeks. Health Question & Answer
Prozac's data sheet has no mention of it having any effect on periods.Health Question & Answer
Not really but I'm on the pill so that may be why. Health Question & Answer
