It takes patience,practice and persistence. A habit is something automatically without thinking.The best way to end a habit is to think. About what.?About how to change it. Most habits occur in some circumstances or specific situations.. You could avoid these situations or if this is not an option, change what you bring in that situation.
- What else has to happen first for this habit to occur.?
Any habit had at one time a very useful purpose and some positive benefits. But habits persist after the benefit is gone.
- What I gain from this habit.?
One of the best way to break habits is to realize that you don't gain something and replace that habit with a new better habit.
If you have a burning desire to make a change, you must attack the habit with overwhelming force and use self discipline. it's best said that you need 28 days to resist until you have broke a habit.
