Should I see a therapist? ?!
Question: Should I see a therapist.? .?
I think I've always had a few issues- I'm a crazy perfectionist and I worry constantly. I may have slight OCD and GAD, but it's never been completely out of hand.
However, lately I've just felt completely stressed out and a bit depressed as well. I ended up having an anxiety attack during the day on Tuesday and as a result I became really shaken up (I spent Wednesday home all day, I couldn't find the strength to leave my house).
Though I feel slightly better, I'm afraid of what might happen next. Should I see a shrink, or is that just a waste of time.? Health Question & Answer

I never thought I would be the kind of person to see a psychiatrist but I went a few months ago for anxiety. I'm in college and have never had a lot of bad problems with it but school was stressing me out a ton. I went to a psychiatrist at the school and I the first time I went was a little weird but after that it helped me a lot. I wasn't as anxious after I went and I was surprised that by a few visits in, I actually began to enjoy it. I think that people think that going to therapy means that they're crazy when that's hardly the case. Therapy can really help you and I would suggest it if your anxiety and other problems are affecting your life. Best of luck!Health Question & Answer
