My brother who's a clinical psychologist and also a professor with the Fielding Institute. Probably makes about 150.00 to 200.000 a year but that's including both his career as a professor and his private practice. Most clinical psychologist don't have only private practices any more as the insurance won't pay the going rates for private practise. They either work with clinics with in hospitals, schools or private clinics in addition to their private practice. The other thing that you should know is that it depends a lot on what part of the country you live in. Here in the northeast things are more expensive than say in the south or the Midwest or the middle part of the country. So you would make more here or on the west coast where it's also expensive.Health Question & Answer
