Can anybody tell me about ear suctioning?!?!
Question: Can anybody tell me about ear suctioning.?!.?
I had acute otitis externa (swimmers ear) and it keeps coming back so I saw a specialist and he said to come back next week to get both my ears micro suctioned. He didn't tell me much about it all he said was that I didn't need a general anesthetic and that he'd use a machine. But does anyone know if it hurts.?do they bandage your ears after.?how long does it take.?any info would be helpful!thanks everyone!Health Question & Answer

Nothing to worry about! This is a very very old method that people used a long time ago (using hollowed out cones for suction) that is virtually painless. There will be a slight pressure as if your ears need to pop, but that only lasts seconds and then its over.Health Question & Answer
I have had this myself. It doesn't hurt but feels very strange while they're doing it. It takes about 20 minutes or so and you walk out without bandages etc.Health Question & Answer
