Definatly normal! I have just came down with the exact same thing you have right now. Started having sinue problems 2 days ago, yesterday it was a head cold, now today it's just a all together cold with an ear ache!

Nothing to worry about. I don't know where you live but where I live it's being passed around really bad right now. The Doc's are saying it's going to have to run its course! If you still have the ear ache on Friday I would call your doctor and see about getting in to see him/her, then you could have an inner ear infection and need anti-biotics!

It depends on how your earaches feel. If you feel it in the drum, that sounds like an ear infection. If you feel like its coming from inside your head, pushing out the drum, it's probably sinus blockages of phlegm. If the latter is the case, it should hurt more when you blow your nose, and/or when you cough. The sore throat is due to your body producing phlegm to help fight the infection. It's phlegm that hasn't left your body, and has dried there, and possibly caused an inflammation. I would get checked out, since you're having ear aches, which aren't typically normal with your symptoms, your immune system could have been severely weakened by something.Health Question & Answer
