Does a really really short period mean pregnant?!

Question: Does a really really short period mean pregnant.?
So I'm on the pill. However, I've been really busy (bad excuse) and therefore i've not been taking it exactly regularly. I had to double up days more than i'd like to admit on this cycle. However, i am with a guy who is long distance. when he came home, we got caught up in the moment and obviously had sex.

He didnt pull out, but im on the pill so i didnt think it mattered much.

so then i go on the placebos. my period didnt come until thursday. (five days into the placebos) and it only lasted 12 hours.
literally, less than a day.

However, with being on the pill my periods are slowly getting shorter and shorter.

so i'm working myself up over nothing right.?Health Question & Answer

Women on the pill generally do have shorter and lighter periods. With not taking the pill regularly and no other form of birth control, there is a chance that yes, you may be pregnant. The only way to find out for sure and ease your mind is to take a pregnancy test.Health Question & Answer

If you've missed pills and you had unprotected sex then you could definitely be pregnant. Even if you had some bleeding that doesn't mean you can't be pregnant. The best thing to do is to take a home test or see your doctor, that's the only way you're going to find out!Health Question & Answer

Spend a little bit of money and buy yourself some peace of mind. OTC tests are pretty good, but not 100%. Only a blood test can accurately determine if you are or are not pregnant.Health Question & Answer

Yeah because pulling out is a SUPER reliable form of birth control. So. Obviously it doesn't matter that he came inside you. Obviously.

Are you developmentally disabled or just unaware of how your reproductive system works.? Let's hope that you weren't given a sexually transmitted infection.

I'm really not trying to be mean but you sound like you need a bit of a wake up call.

The real issue at hand is that you are letting someone who has an incredibly high probability of being unfaithful have unprotected sex with you.

You may or may not be working yourself up over nothing. It's pretty likely that you are pregnant but I would be more concerned with the multitude of infections you could have contracted.

USE A CONDOM! GET TESTED FOR STIs! TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST!Health Question & Answer
