Tampons aren't that bad. They are actually a lot less gross than a pad...
If you are afraid of them you can try just using the smallest size with a plastic applicator. Just follow the instructions and they are really easy! (I really like the tampax pearl ones) They are also a lot more comfortable than a pad and you don't have to constantly worry about leaks!Health Question & Answer

The tampons can't get lost. They're easy to put in and remove especially if you get the ones with the applicators. I know when you first start out they can seem scary but they really aren't and they allow you to do so much more. You have the freedom to go swimming and it's so much more comfortable to walk around with a tampon in than with a pad on.Health Question & Answer

tampons are gross.? hmm wearing a diaper sounds so much better to me... lol anyways tampons are a little nerve wracking but once you get used to them they get really easy to use and pads are a thing of the past. for a tampon you just have to insert and pull the string and take out, its really simple, and if you do it right there is usually no painHealth Question & Answer

Because tampons, if used correctly, are much cleaner and WAY more comfortable. Pads I think are disgusting because it gets everywhere in the pad.

Tampons will not get lost. Read the pamphlet that comes in the box of tampons and it will give you a lot of insight on them.Health Question & Answer

lmfao.. i am 26 and i have been wearing them since i was 13.. i wore pads for two days and they felt like a damn diaper...

tampons are not going to get lost. lol. gross to take them out and put them in.?.? why is that for.. at least you are not touching any blood. Pads (diapers) are way WORSE, trust me.. at least you can't feel a tampon..Health Question & Answer

I used tampons regularly when my period came around because i used to be on a swim team. They truly work. No discharge for me. Nada/Zip.
Oh yeah I'm 14 and I used them when I was 11. They're not "scary" they're actually very convenient.I WORSHIP tampons. No blood on your new under wear. Its a dream come true.Health Question & Answer

I think you have a choice to use whatever suits you. You can swim with a tampon but not a pad and the tampon is not noticeable. I am sure the right tampon would not be hard to put in. I suggest you try a few or just use pads.Health Question & Answer

We need them if we go swimming while we have our period. Otherwise blood would go all over the pool. Some people who are in swim team for example, have to use them. They can't just not swim when they're on their period.

People who do other sports like Gymnastics also need them.Health Question & Answer

Tampons aren't bad once you get used to them. They only hurt to put them in if you're putting them in at the wrong angle. Once you know how to do it right it won't hurt.

People use tampons more often because that way they won't feel all the "leakage," and it feels less nasty. lolHealth Question & Answer

ok:
first off they arent gross they are much less gross than pads because pads are like putting a dirty mattress between your legs and its not gross at all to take them out either
they arent 'scary' at all maybe like the first couple of times sureHealth Question & Answer

Pads, IMO, are more gross than tampons. But, if you're afraid to use tampons then by all means, go with pads. Each woman has her own preference and that's all that matters.Health Question & Answer

Some women like to use tampons because their more convenient, less noticeable, and they feel better. If the tampon gets lost use tweezers to gently take it out, or go to a gynecologist.Health Question & Answer

You have all the right to use what you want it is your body.? Why not wear what ever is comfortable for you.? Hope my answer was helpful.?Health Question & Answer
