What is causing this painful err.. experience?!
Question: What is causing this painful err.. experience.?
My boyfriend and I have been together for over two years and things are great. About 8 months ago I started experiencing very painful intercourse with him, and it really takes a toll on me emotionally. He is very understanding about it and feels bad that it hurts me, but I also feel guilty that we don't have sex very often. We used to have a wonderful sex life and there was a time when I couldn't recall the last time I didn't climax. Now I can't recall the last time it didn't hurt.
It is like a burning or stinging sensation only with penetration - anything external is fine. It does not have to do with deep penetration, it is just on the walls of my vagina. Sometimes after sex there is even a small trace of blood. We have tried different brands of lubrication and nothing helps. I have been to the doctor and was treated for a yeast infection so that is not the problem. I have been diagnosed with HPV, but not the sores-forming type. I have been doing a lot of online research but am coming up completely blank. It's very frustrating and stressful to me. Does anyone have any ideas.?
PS, I am going to the doctor this week, I just want to get some other ideas as well. Thanks!Health Question & Answer

You probably have an infection. It is easily remedied with a suppository. Your gynecologist will write you a prescription for this and you will be fine in no time.Health Question & Answer
