I was on it for a year and it completely stopped my periods, I never had one period the entire time I was on it. It's supposed to make your periods lighter, less freqeunt, or stop all together, I dont think pregnancy is something you have to worry about as the shot has one of the lowest failure rates of any hormonal birth control out there. The people who get pregnant on it probably missed a sahot or got one too late, you'll just have to make sure that everytime you get the shot, you get it at the earliest possilbe date following you last one. I hated being on it for MANY MANY Reasons, personally I think it is poison, but one of the reasons I hated it was that it stopped my period, so every month I was paranoid I was pregnant and had to take a test. Good luck, that shot is effective, but it sucks really bad.Health Question & Answer
