Hi Goddess! I would suggest that you consider the possibility of mineral deficiencies. These are common. They have been associated in scientific studies with both PMS and muscle spasms.

You might try a good vitamin/mineral supplement. Magnesium is probably the 'key' problem, but Calcium and Potassium are important too. Vitamin B6 is important for the proper functioning of Magnesium in the cells, so be sure the supplement has plenty of it.

You want a supplement of 'good quality'. Good ones tend to be more expensive because the ingredients are more expensive. But, quality can be critical for the body's ability to actually absorb the supplements.

Look for Magnesium in one of the following forms:
1) Magnesium citrate
2) Magnesium glycinate
3) Magnesium citrate/malate (or just malate)
4) Magnesium gluconate

Look for Calcium in the form of Calcium citrate.

Best wishes and good luck!
