Is This Wrong ?!

I am almost 14 years old, I am 5'11", and I weigh only about 80-85 pounds..is that wrong??

Probably, you're just going through a stage of accelarated growth, but to be safe, see a doctor.

yes, that is VERY wrong. are you anorexic? you need to weigh at least 100 pounds. being skinny doesn't mean you're healthy. don't be fat. but you can thick, and healthy.

No . your body can't be "wrong"! It sounds to me like you're going through a growth spirt, and your weight hasn't had time to catch up with your height. But look on the bright side .. you can always be a runway model!! lol. ;)

You are still in a growing stage, if you are eating healthy and are in good health, everything should be fine. I advise if it is something you are truly worried about, get with a parent or guardian and let them know you are concerned. For those of you who are accusing a 14 year old girl of anorexia, get a life. She is asking for advise! I was an extremely skinny teenager and ate like a cow. It's a little thing called metabolism, look it up. Maybe you have your own eating issues to deal with.

uhh..u weigh less than me..& ur taller than me..i guess its not wrong but, as long as ur not TRYING to lose weight by becoming anerexic (how however u spell it) or belimic (and however u spell it..lol) best of luck.im sure ur fine

It's only wrong if you aren't healthy. If your blood levels are OK and you are eating enough, then of course it isn't wrong, just maybe worries people a little. If, however, you are denying your body what it needs to function, your body will begin to tell you that something is wrong, itself. Growing extra hair in places, dark circles under eyes, skin problems, hair falling out in places. you would know if it had all gone too far.

I don't think it's wrong. If you are healthy it's ok.

Are you M or F?

Average body mass for 14 y.o. male is 53 kg or about 122 pounds.
Average for female is 51 kg or 112 pounds.
So either way you are a little underweight.

Are you naturally slim built?
Do you sufffer from long term health problems?
Are your parents slim or skinny? You then might have a genetic predisposition towards slimness, many people would consider that lucky! lol

You are severly underweight, and that is not a good thing. Whoever told you that you should weigh around 100 pounds is also wrong. If you have a small frame, you should weigh a minimum of 135 pounds. Don't let all those scary-skinny hollywood sticks fool you. Granted, you are only 14 years old, so it might take some time for you to catch up to this weight. I would imagine you had a big growth spurt in height recently. Check out this chart for more info:
