Yeah, I've gotten them and I get them at the strangest times. Everything sorta just turns white or brighter and I can hear this ringing sound in my ears and it's hard to hear what other people are saying and then my heart beat starts racing and it feels like I can't breathe. I usually just sit down or lay down to try to get it to stop but yeah, it is kinda scary. Kinda feels like you're dying.

I used to have them when I was drinking a lot (I don't drink anymore and have been in recovery for almost 16 years). I used to feel very scared and like I was having a heart attack and that I was going to die. The only thing that would help me was if I went to my parents house (usually in the middle of the night when I got them the most) and made my mom sit up with me and she would give me warm milk and saltine crackers and sit with me until I fell asleep. They can have many different causes but I know mine was drinking booze. I could never stop them, I would wake up with it, it was awful!

I have been diagnosed with anxiety. The first time I had one; I got really stressed, my chest was tight, and breathing became heavy. I started crying for no apparent reason. It was really bad. I started taking paxil and it seemed to help. I tried not taking these things and coping with my anxiety by changing some things in my life. Learning how to deal with some annoyance that triggered them as well.

I used to have panic attacks all the time. Felt like I was having a heart attack. I ended up in the hospital 2 times before I finally got it into my head that I wasn't going to die, I just needed to breathe easy and let it pass. Ativan's worked great in that situation but I didn't like feeling drugged. I found that often what would bring them one was the fear of having one if that makes sense? By thinking about it and dwelling on it, I brought it on myself.

It's not fear, per se. It's more like complete numbness, with pure dread going into and out of it. I usually shake and get a mild asthma attack, and the process sometimes induces a migraine.

If I feel one coming on, I try to escape from the situation and then get something caffeinated in case I still get the migraine. Not being able to escape is what causes them.

I started having them when I was 16 years old. Your thinking starts racing, your heart also starts racing, It's a feeling of doom, like your going to die. I hate it! I take Xanax from a doc. Good stuff, works wonders. There's a conspiracy on here. I think all above answers are true too.

Yes I have them regularly. I feel scared and want to run away, but there is nothing to run away from. I do things to calm down, like pray, then turn the TV on and find a good program to watch that will take my mind off of my problem. They occur at night when I'm sleeping. I wake up in a terror and if I stay in bed it will only get worse. After watching TV for about an hour I'm calm enough to go back to bed.

I have been diagnosed with Chronic anxiety by my therapist, and she is one of the best in the state, and yes, to answer your question, i do have panic attacks. Mostly when im stressed out, or worried about something.
