what are the side effect after you stop depo provera shots?!

Question:

Answers:
I was on depo for two and a half years. I have been off of it now for about 2 years. I have periods anywhere from every two weeks to as far apart as two months. I also have breakthrough bleeding very frequently. My cramps are worse than any I ever had before and last for a week or more. It is awful. Part of that is because I was on the shot for so long. My doctor failed to tell me that after one year you are supposed to stop taking the shot for six months. I found that out from the company that makes it. Good luck.

I've been on depo for 5 years now, I'd like to get off of it. My doctor has told me it will be a bit harder for me to get knocked up again because of being on the depo so long. That's really the only one I know.. The link above is just usefull info.

My friend said she spotted for 3 months after the shot, your body will go threw hormonal changes

I dont know about you guys but i went through major changes when I first started it. I would cry for no reason and lash out in anger over any little old thing, that was definately not me. But I have had irregular periods, infertility, and depression problems ever since. I only got the shot twice I do not like it one bit. and for people that have a cancer history in their family i dont think depo is a good idea.
