I have the Hiatal Hernia problem. Can i do abdomen crunches and other abdomen ex!

Question:

the first answer is totally wrong so ignore that. a hiatal hernia is when your stomach slips up into your chest due to an enlarment of a hole in diaphram that naturally exsists to allow your esophagus into your abdomen. basically your stomach is partially in your chest and partially in your abdomen. it is pretty harmless but the most common problem is refulx of acid. so you may get bad heartburn. other problems can occur but that is the most common. crunchs have nothing to do with this except right after you eat you may want to take it easy to let the food work into your abdomen. you can't burst anything rhough the stomach wall cuz that is not where the hernia is.

A doctor once told my mom that hiatal hernias requre surgery to be fixed, or you will die from it busing through the adomden wall.. So get it fixed right away!

No crunches, could be more harmful to it..

I wouldn't suggest that, but if you do.don't exercise immediately after eating. Try to wait at least two to three hours before you engage in any strenuous activity. Low-key exercise, such as walking, is fine.
