It could be as simple as a small leak in a valve in his penis. If it bothers either of you, he can go to the doctor, get a little blue pill and magically, the valve will quit leaking and he will be fine. It is no big deal at all unless one or both of you makes it into a big deal.Health Question & Answer
It would help if we knew his age, so we could get a better picture of what might be going on with his body.
Edit:
Ok, he's young. This means he doesn't need any ED drugs; this is just a psychological problem. He is probably having performance anxiety. Stress is a major cause of this happening especially in younger males, and it's completely natural that a guy has a problem every once in a while. He just needs to relax and not dwell on the not being able to maintain at the moment. also, don't bother him about it, because I guarantee you it's bothering him way more.
Help him relax and everything should return to normal.

Many guys are susceptible to "performance anxiety". The first time it happens, for whatever reason, he can get in a mindset that he has a "problem". When it happens again, then it reinforces the idea. He's young so he may not be able to laugh it off like more experienced guys. It could also be something organic.

He could have actually injured his penis at some point. You need to go to the doctor to have this checked. I heard a doctor describe it as a broken penis at one time. I don't remember the rest of what he called it. But it is like a POP pain and then no erection anymore. Get this checked it could also be a sign of high blood pressure or diabetes.Health Question & Answer
