Okay. The way we hear is there are these hair like things in our ears. They are like little hairs all throughout the ear. When they vibrate, you hear sound and then the sound goes to your ear drum. Anyway, those little "hairs" are irreplaceable. You are born with them and therefore your hearing will not be as good as it was at birth ever. This is because over time they get damaged, and your body can not replace them. If you listen to you iPod too loud, then you damage the hairs and your body can't make more. Expecially because the earphones are so close to your ears versus a sound across the room. You will eventually lose your hearing and when your old, it will be bad if you are damaging the hairs younge.

Good luck! Happy Birthday as well!

Hope I could help.Health Question & Answer

Of course! The cilia in your eardrums are vibrating due to the loud noise and will fall off and you'll lose your hearing!

If you want to hear loud music, you shouldn't use head phones. BUt you also shouldn't listen to loud music constantly anyway. Your ears will get used to it and gradually, you won't be albe to hear unless ppl talk really loud. then when you're old, you'll be deafer than the average senior. Health Question & Answer

Yes you will start to lose your hearing at a young age. My boyfriend is a musician and he's only 27 and has poor hearing. also, make sure you clean your ears every day, because all that music through headphones builds up lots of earwax! And the earbuds push it in! That will also dull your hearing on top of it.Health Question & Answer

I have a Ipod Touch and i will tell you one thing, put a lock on it for the volume. having music loud can damage your hearing, reduce it or make it permanent when you get older. my Volume is locked at like 80% lolHealth Question & Answer
