ive been kinda "fighting " with my weight for over a year
it started last year when i broke my neck and i was out of school for like almost 9-10 months

i was a little depressed then so i lookd for comfort in food and i gain like 50-60 pounds

so are those diest pills/supplements really good
i mean from all those commercials it looks like its working or is it just brainwashing the people .?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It is brainwashing the masses! so NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not take them!

Most over the counter weight loss drugs may suppress hunger and increase your metabolism; however, this only works while you are on them! Once you stop taking them, your weight will start to increase! THEREFORE, they do not equal weight loss!!!!!!! In addiction, those weight loss pills can become addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!

Furthermore, they can cause serious health problems!!!!! For example, until like really recently ephedra was used in many weight loss drugs! In fact, Steve Bechler is a good example of this! He died after using weight loss drugs!

Okay, let us say you are talking about like Stackers, Mini Thins, and Fat burners. You are probably thinking oh but this must be safe because they are "natural" WRONG!!! These things can be even more dangerous/deadly than prescription meds. because they aren't inspected for purity and accuracy of contents, as well as potency of the ingredients.

The FDA has limited power to regulate these "diet supplements ect..."

Okay if these isn't convincing enough:
The dietary supplements can cause/are linked to strokes, heart attacks, hepatitis, headaches, anxiety, insominia...

Other supplements have caused kidney damage, renal failure, kidney cancer..

If that still isn't convincing enough, which I really really hope it is, those dietary supplements haven't been proven to effective in helping to lose weight!

Well, I could go on and on!

The point is, if you really want to lose weight and keep it off, the only true way is through eating healthy (limiting calories, limiting saturated and trans fats, ect...) and exercise!

There are a lot of ways you can loss weight, which aren't healthy, and they are not going to lead to long term weight loss! However, the only thing that will result is in temporary weight loss, and you will probably gain even more weight back than you lost! And yo-yo dieting is more dangerous for you body than actually remaining overweight!!!

I hope that you really read this, because taking those pills is not worth it!! With the chances of getting diseases/illness/addiction, with them not really working, it isn't worth it!!

You say you like to walk, rollerblade, and play badminton! Participating in this activities are helping your physical fitness and are sporty too! I am sure you have a like a skating place somewhere, go there and skate! Or, you could use a gym at school.

However, simply going for walks, playing badminto, rollerblading, and eating a healthy balanced diet will certainly help you lose weight! In addition, making sure you are not consuming more calories than you need for your activity level is key too!! Another key part to weight loss, is managing you stress level! You need to learn to cope with stress and to not let it build up!

You can lose the weight! I know you can!! The hard part is just getting started on exercising and eating a balanced meal; however, once you start you will see improvements! However, using weight loss drugs is not going to help you; it will only lead to disappointment!

You can do it the healthy way! I know you can; I have 100% faith in you!

As John N commented you should only lose one to two pounds a week!! Listen to John N!!

I just do not want to see you developing an illness from these drugs!Health Question & Answer

it's all crap. you have to eat the number of calories for what you want to weigh. and it sounds like you've gotten the bulk of the weight off. so just keep going. It's not an instant thing; one to two pounds a week is safe weight loss. so, you've got another couple of months to go.Health Question & Answer
