Does diet help Palindromic rheumatism?

Question:
Thought it was gout but after 8 months of intermittent attacks finally diagnosed it. This stuff is painful and am only in early 40's. Does anyone know if diet helps change the disease? Especially since what I've read says 1/3 will go into Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Answer:
My doctor thought I had this until recently he diagnosed me with spondylar arthritis. I don't know if diet can help this, I think more likely the proper drugs will help more. I am on sulfasalazine, voltaren, and plaquenil. It took about 5 months, but I'm feeling 100% better. Best wishes to you.
