YES, it's only fair to tell someone.
You don't have to make a huge deal out of it, it's quite common, but just know that it IS herpes, and it's absolutely contagious to other parts of the body, not just the lips.
For instance if you perform oral sex on him while you have an outbreak, he will most likely get it, and it's 100% genital herpes at that point - in every way.
Maybe a guy in a white lab coat could tell the difference in the virus', but it's irrelevant.
Lots of people get herpes this way, thinking that it's somehow a totally different beast.
Mention it in passing. Do you know if you have herpes? Most people get cold sores so he shouldnt freak...
cold sores believe it or not are a virus and i don't think you have to i mean you can if you want (he can't catch the virus from you)

Just know that if you kiss him or perform oral sex on him, you could transfer the virus to him if there are any cuts or scrapes on his lips or penis. Do you need to tell who?? I don't know anyone who hasn't had a cold sore in their life. I mean if they are on your lips it's pretty hard to hide them. Often cold sores can be caused by too much acid in your system. Like orange juice etc. Are you sure it's simply a sore and not something like Herpes? if it is you should see a Dr. and get medication and YES you should be honest with him.
You should tell him when you get a cold sore, because it contagious and it's a form of the herpes virus.
well with the winter here... he will most likely soon find out. i get a doctor to prescride a med that stops them from coming out. Since taking, they have subsided over the years. (I have to avoid oranges as they make them come out). I wish I knew about those meds years ago! famvir is the best!

Cold sores are a form of herpes. And yes you should tell him you get them BECAUSE YOU CAN PASS THEM ON TO HIM. If you have an open cold sore on your mouth, and it comes in to contact with his mouth, you could give them to him as well. Lots of people have cold sores, dont be embarrassed, let him know!
yes tell him . cause if you give him head with your cold sore he can get genital herpes. i am sure you will want him to tell you if he had something like that
