technically, yes, but it still requires too much buffing to remove the scratches and it will still have imperfections. When you do this, you will remove any UV (ultraviolet) protection the lense may have.

I don't think so. They do have a clear solution specifically for plastic lenses. The stuff they clean CDs with might work as a last resort.
I've never tried it but probably not. I haven't been able to find anything that will repair a scratched lens. The eye glass professionals say there is nothing you can do but replace the lens.
