Does Fifth Disease Worsen at Night?

Question:
I've been known to have it and I've had the "cold like" symptoms, and now I have a red splotchy itchy rash on my left arm, and a small splotchy rash on my right. It gets worse at night, does Fifth Disease worsen at night?

Answer:
You've been "known" to have it? What does that mean? If you've been diagnosed with this, then you should call your doctor about new symptoms. In the meantime:

Night has nothing to do with it, but the rash usually travels up or down your body, then just goes away, but children generally get it not adults, if yours doesn't travel or go away go to a doctor, it may not be fifth disease.
You have something else. Fifth's causes joint pain in older people. The rash is on face, front of legs and abdomen it does not worsen at night or itch. Most people (being children) do not know they have it unless as I said the joint pain, which can be very painful in older people. I had it. My children had it and the only real noticeable thing was a red face, from the rash. I think it is also bad for a pregnant person to be exposed to.
