CoNtAcT LeNsEs ???? PlZ HeLp!!!!?

Question:
I got contact lenses from 2 different eye doctors at 2 different locations and on separate occasions......with both sets of contacts they felt like they were falling out, they slipped of my eyes (like usually downwards), and hurt/burned like hell. I have a stimatism ( ? ). Anyway both doctors told me i would need to wear them for atleast an hour before coming in so they could figure the problem.......how am i suposed 2 do that when they feel the way they do? And no i didnt have them inside-out. What should I do about this problem....cant aford lasik.

Answer:
This could be a stupid question but are you sure that they are in the right eye? If they are slipping then they might not be the right size for your eyes. I had a problem with burning when I first got contacts and it ended up being the solution I was using. Maybe you should try a different solution to see if the one you have is causing irritation.
I have a stigmatism in both eyes and have never had trouble with contacts. Sometimes it takes a little while for the contact to settle on your eye the right way and it can be a little uncomfortable while it does. Those are all of my ideas.
Good luck, I hope that you figure things out!
I had a problem such as this with mine also. I ended up using focus night and day lenses. They are so comfortable I can wear them a week at a time without dryness and without the feeling of them falling out.
i would just put them on in the parking lot and lie and tell them they've been in for an hour. by the time you check in and wait for them to call you I'm sure you'll be there for at least 20 minutes. chances are, they wont even notice that they haven't been in for the full hour. i dont see why this would be important anyway... as long as they're in they should be able to look at them with their equipment and see what the problem is. just try not to blink too much. maybe while you're in the waiting room you can keep your eyes closed as much as you can... and when they're open squint a little so they can't pop off.
Why not go to the office an hour before an appointment and put them in when you get to the eye docs office and then wait out the hour by reading a magazine?
wear glasses. i have astigmastism too and i can't wear contacts to save my life!
